Vintage Sterling Silver Repousse Earrings Cherub Putti Angel Medallion -Gift Box

Vintage Sterling Silver Repousse Earrings feature High Renaissance Angels, Cherubs or Putti with a dangling medallion that is edged in garland and terminates in a beautiful clam shell.  The medallion has a center section that could be engraved by your local jeweler, if you wish. The space that is open for potential engraving is approximately 1 x 3/4".
The earrings are on posts for pierced ears with butterfly clutches.  The medallion dangles from beneath the angel with its wings.
The measure a generous 2-1/4 x 1-3/4" and are surprisingly comfortable to wear.  They weigh in at 13.9 grams of sterling silver, unmarked but acid tested.
They are in Excellent Condition and date to the 1980s.
